Skeleton Layout

Image 1

*Instead of a Pier it will be Stratford Bridge

Image 2

*Two female models in the final shoot

In Image 1, I decided to layout the title along the top left and the logo in the top right this is so audiences are able to view the brand straightaway I wanted the models to be in the centre and be enlarged so they are able to promote the products properly. I placed the bottle between the two models in the middle and the tagline along the bottom of the advertisement in Image 1. As this is a skeleton layout it is different to my final layout but I used this for my audience research to see what can be improved and to include the constructive criticism in my final layout. In my original design layout I planned for the models to stand on a bridge and to have a view in the background but the sole focus is on the model. The bottle should be placed near the model so viewers and audiences are able to see what they are buying and also the selling points will be enlarged to try and promote the brand 'Wave'.

In Image 2, I decided to go for a similar layout and place the title along the top and this time with the 'Wave' logo I produced I decided to place the logo top left and I enlarged it so audiences are able to notice it. The bottle was placed beside the models and the tagline was again placed along the bottom. This time I included selling points and social media links to give my brand and either more urban vibe. In my original design I planned there to be two female models and for them to stand against a wall but still position the logo, tagline and social media links in the same place.

Statement of Intent

Media Language

The codes and conventions for print advertising, all consist of persuasion. For my magazine cover, I will be using the plain folk and Glittering Generalities, as this will appeal to everyone and also it will give the product a feel-good feeling and a happy vibe, I will do this by using models who are relatable and in my advert I will used higher saturated colours to promote that feel good vibe. Also, I will use bandwagoning so this will make everyone want to buy my product, i will do this by using an inviting slogan such as 'Join the Wave', and will link the social media pages. The main psychological technique I will use is the peripheral route, through the use of saturated colours it can catch people's attention.

Media Representation

My product should reside in the age range between 16-25 and is a non-gender specific product. I would represent by having young models and using locations where the younger audience can relate to. I will also have male and female models to represent the gender fluid product. The adverts will portray a sense of community and it will focus on equality as it will portray all genders and ethnicities as equals and people who are getting along.

Media Industries
My advert is to be printed in "Total Film" which is released monthly, the four different adverts would be distributed over four months. The advertising campaign will all be in the same style so it is shown to be creating a narrative of its own, following this urban, teen lifestyle repetitively.
The dimensions of the magazine are (22.2cmx30cm)
In the process of production, I will make sure to clean the picture of any blemishes that would make it look unprofessional.
Media Audiences

My product will be aimed towards the mainstreamer and the explorer and the C2DE category. . I will meet the needs of the mainstream by using my tagline, to make it seem to the mainstreamers that they need this brand new 'Wave' product. I would also use Sans Serif font so I can appeal to the younger audience as it is a more modernised font.
